Selecting the Indexing Agent

Agents are the entities that do the actual indexing in Vose. When you create a new Repository, you choose the Agent that will do the indexing. You can also change your selection later, for example if an existing Agent is offline, or a new Agent has been installed.

Choosing the Agent When Creating a Repository

One of the last steps in creating a Repository is to choose the Agent that will do the actual indexing. While HQ itself has the ability to index, it is more likely that there will be one or more Agents available to do the indexing.

 Select an available Agent from the list and click Save and Continue 

Choosing the Agent When Editing a Repository

The Agents that are available for indexing may change after you have created a Repository - some may be offline and new ones may have been added. You can select a different Agent while editing a Repository:
