Error: Server Error on Security Pages

The following error is sometimes seen when security settings from a previous install don't get carried over correctly during an upgrade. 

Resolution

To resolve this error:

  1. Stop Voyager

  2. Make a copy of the security.dex file as backup

  3. Edit security.dex and manually remove the Windows realm

  4. Restart Voyager, login using internal authentication (default should be set to admin/admin) 

  5. Turn on on Windows Authentication

  6. Click Configure and then the Groups tab to check if groups are now listed correctly

NOTE: This method may require admin users to re-register their Windows groups on Voyager (under Groups > Register tab).
