Voyager ArcMap Add-In

Setting up the Voyager ArcMap Add-in with ArcGIS Desktop

  • Download the latest version of the Voyager ArcMap Add-in from the customer portal to begin downloading a zipped folder, containing the add-in file.

  • Unzip the folder and double click the add-in file VoyagerSearchArcMapAddIn.esriAddIn.

  • Open ArcMap and under the Customize menu, open the Toolbars list and ensure Voyager Search is checked. If you do not see Voyager Search as an option, check the Add-In Manager to ensure that the add-in was installed without issues.

  • Once checked, the Voyager Toolbar will be visible and can be moved/customized as a normal ArcMap toolbar.

  • To get started, use the Connection Manager To connect to a Voyager instance. By default, ODN is included as a preconfigured option.

  • Using the connection Manager, you can specify a new connection and authentication method with a custom name.

  • Once connected, use the Search Pane button to reveal the Search Pane. On this pane, you can search for keywords, manage Query Expansion options, and interact with results. Results can be added to the map or downloaded (when supported by the server), zoomed to extent, and expanded to show the details of the result.

  • Use the filter pane to easily add Voyager Filters. Once added, the filter can be removed by clicking it again.

  • Opening the Map Tools will give you the option to specify a place name in the input or the tools to draw geometries on the map to specify the location to query.

  • The View modes will allow the results to be viewed in the formats: Card (default), table, and grid.

  • When enabled by the server, the cluster view will allow results to be clustered based on zoom level. Clusters will be re-generated whenever the map extent is updated
