Vose 1.10 and Server 2.10 Release Notes

Voyager Search is happy to announce the release of our latest version of Vose and updates to Voyager Server. This release includes:

Major New Features:

Improvements to the Processing Framework

Navigo has extended the Cart Summary page to show: i) Total size of items in the cart for file based content, ii) Total items where size cannot be calculated (database and other types) and, iii) Total row count for data types such as Geodatabase tables.

Indexing Support for Microsoft OneNote files

Support for indexing locally stored OneNote files .ONE and ONETOC2 was added. This also includes support for indexing embedded documents in OneNote files.

Updates to Temp File Cleanup

Updates were made to how Vose cleans up temp files generated from indexing of S3 repositories, Sharepoint repositories and Archive files. A new configuration now allows users to schedule clean up based on parameters like time, day and the date the file was last accessed.

QGIS Indexing Improvements

Improvements were made to QGIS indexing that includes support for .QGIS, .QGS, .QGZ, .QLR .QPJ and .QML. Additional improvements were also made to thumbnail rendering for the QGIS format.

Updates to Pulse

This release allows users to view metrics such as Most Used Keywords, Formats (indexed), Downloaded Documents on the Pulse UI. Sort options were also added for these categories.

Updates to VoyagerODN

New data catalogs were added to VoyagerODN and existing catalogs have been updated. To mention a few:

Additional Improvements Made To:

  • Improvements to extraction of Surpac DTM files.

HQ Management Interface:

  • Added WMS basemap support for thumbnail generation 

  • ACL indexing for Sharepoint records to allow Windows Authentication configuration

Bug Fixes Include:  

HQ:

  • Issues with the Advanced Filter (subfolders not getting indexed and filter changes not getting saved) 

  • Bug with saving configurations on the HTTP Client Settings page

  • GDAL extractor failing when extracting spatial extent from certain file types 

  • Indexing failure when using the java/csv extractor and the dotnet/powerpoint extractor 

  • Issue with valid bbox getting generated for Landsat .TIFF files 

  • Issue with temp files not getting cleared when indexing using the chromium extractor

  • Issue with geodatabase deletions were not getting captured during re-indexing

Server:

  • Pulse fix to show correct search numbers 

  • Crashing issue fix when using Office and ESRI extractors

  • Missing .jar file issue with the Office365 connector 

  • Indexing issues with token-based ArcGIS Rest Services

  • Indexing and thumbnail generation issue for ERDAS Apollo servers 

  • Errors when accessing root file paths
