About This Release

Voyager Search is happy to announce the release of our latest version of Vose, that is inclusive of HQ and Agents, as well as updates to Voyager Server. This release includes: 

Enhancements:

HQ  and Agent

  • S3 indexing Enhancements:

    • Index Changes: The S3 connector now supports indexing changes, allowing more efficient reindexing by capturing only updates instead of reprocessing all content.

    • Index by Date: Added a new "Index By Date" option to the S3 connector, allowing indexing of S3 content created or modified after a specified date for more efficient index updates

    • Index Tags: S3 indexing now includes an option to index tags from both S3 objects and their parent bucket.

    • Index Storage Classes: Added support for indexing S3 storage classes. This provides visibility into data storage tiers, enabling better cost management, optimized search, and improved data governance.

    • S3 Glacier Indexing: Our S3 indexing logic has been updated to skip extraction on items stored in archival storage classes, ensuring faster and more efficient indexing.

  • Pipeline Steps

    • Spatially Classify Documents: Enhanced the spatial classification pipeline step to support DoD certificates.

    • Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF (COG): We have moved our configuration to the pipeline to provide more detailed control configuring the system. Support for indexing COGs remains the same; this update simplifies the user experience.

  • Preview Tool: The preview tool now includes additional indexing statistics, providing more insights to help you make informed decisions about indexing configurations before starting the indexing process.

  • Mapbox Base Map: Added support for thumbnail generation using Mapbox's static map service as the basemap. 

  • HQ Startup Network Communication: Updated HQ to ensure it persistently reconnects with the Server on startup, improving reliability in certain network scenarios.

Server

  • Updates to the Navigo UI Filters and other UI updates.  

 

Bug Fixes Addressed: 

HQ and Agent

  • Indexing for GDAL extractor getting hung with S3 indexing. 

  • Errors when indexing S3 path with special characters or spaces. 

  • Timeout errors when indexing using Office365 sharepoint connector. 

  • Issue with certain .txt files not getting indexed. 

  • Indexing issue with GEO attribute not getting indexed for CAD and Lidar datasets. 

Server  

  • Issue with “Delete Items” task deleting items not in the cart. 

  • Errors when viewing ArcGIS metadata on the Details page for certain items. 

  • Issue with “Duplicate Files” Saved Search not working for Flex indexes. 

  • Errors with row count in the Cart UI. 

  • Problems when setting multiple basemaps. 

  • Incorrect Quick Links counts on the Navigo Homepage. 

  • Issue with query highlights on the Search page highlighting non-search terms.
