Configuring Security for a Repository

Administrators can apply security settings when creating or editing a Repository. Adding or modifying security requires 

  • Clicking a link to open the Manage UI

  • Configuring Security

NOTE: Location-Based Access must be enabled before any security options are available on a location's detail page.

Enabling Location-Based Access

  1. Go to Manage > Security > Access

  2. Check the box for Location Based Access

  3. Click Save

 

Adding Security to a new Repository

To add security to a new Repository:

  1. Add a Repository in HQ

  2. When the Repository has been added, click ADD SECURITY FROM VOYAGER SERVER

  3. This opens the Manage UI page for that location

 

Adding Security to an existing Repository

To add or manage security for an existing Repository:

  1. Edit the Repository

  2. Go to the Security Access tab

  3. Click MANAGE SECURITY FROM VOYAGER SERVER

  4. This opens the Manage UI page for that location

 

Configuring Security in the Manage UI

Clicking either of the links above opens the Edit page for that Location in the Manage UI. The available options depend on which type of Authentication has been enabled and which security groups have been defined.

To add Security to that Location from the Edit page:

  1. Go the the Security section

  2. Select one of the available options

  3. Click Save when you are done
